Ruby 1.8.3 (the programming language) is installed in
~/my-applications/bin .

This version of Ruby was compiled under Puppy Linux itself.
That should satisfy all library dependencies.

You can use and distribute Ruby under the terms of GPL or under
the terms of the Ruby License.
